Teams of our talented staff members took the reins, exploring the vast possibilities of artificial intelligence at our Hackathon, “Transformers”.
The Hackathon brought together minds from different departments and backgrounds, each contributing their unique expertise to the creative melting pot. Teams brainstormed, coded, and experimented, crafting novel applications using Generative AI technology.
The Winners: Every team unveiled their projects, and the rest of the Jade staff voted to determine the winning one. The coveted title was claimed by 'The Wildcats'—comprised of Dan Tibbotts, Roger Lammers, Aurora Lin, Danielle Johnstone, and Luke Woollett — whose creation 'Storytime' got the most votes. Storytime is an innovative children's story generator geared towards helping busy parents and carers. Additionally, Matt Hylkema earned the esteemed CEO Prize for his unparalleled dedication and exceptional contributions. Each winner was rewarded with not just a trophy but also a prize of $250.
Ask Jay! Another stand-out project was Ask Jay, which has harnessed the transformative capabilities of Retrieval-Augmented Generation to greatly improve how developers can get help with navigating the intricacies of the Jade Platform.
Transformers was one of the highlights of the year, and it was such a hit that we’re making plans for our next Hackathon. Stay tuned!
